As a natural Aquarius, i am naturally attracted to water. Water can take many shapes,water can run, flow, & sit, the ultimate survival relies on good old quality H20. In the midst of the end of the world of 2012, Korea will host an exposition for the ages. Water will be harnessed in unimaginable ways to entertain, protect, and educate the future. THE WATER CUBE

The world expo in Yeosu focuses on the power and beauty of the oceans. How to express that the best? Could it be done by – simply- making a pure visible block of water that obviously expresses the beauty and the power? A block that is extracted from the ocean.

The Blue Whale Pavilion

The pavilion draws attention to the fundamental influence of the planet’s oceans and coasts resources, and how dangerous it is for such a fragile ecosystem, to ignore them. The jury added that the pavilion has “a strong and powerful form that would become instantly recognizable. The theme of the Expo is symbolically represented with a shape drawn from marine life. The image of the pavilion is consistent with the theme of the ocean. Its fluid shape celebrates the nature of water and the marine life that has adapted to it
